ãWild
Coyote is more than just another wine tasting experience-
It is a mystical journey that combines wine, native culture,
and art. The spirit of Wild Coyote is felt from the roadside
the minute you see the one-of-a-kind adobe-style tasting
room and a genuine tipi atop the mountain overlooking the
vineyard.ä To see the full article, click on this link:

ãEmbracing
the Spirit. Gianni Manucci knew he was predisposed to be
a winemaker. While growing up in California, rather than
aspire to his ancestry as son to a third generation European
grape farmer, Gianni became a successful architect, living
large in Laguna Beach, pursuing his passion for design in
Southern Californiaä To see the full article, click on this

ãWild
Coyote is more than just a name to Gianni Manucci. Wild
Coyote is a spirit and way of living characterized by the
animal that roams the California countryside of both Gianni's
California homes. A spirit of adventure, the following of
one's instincts and resourceful use of all of the skills
one is given is what Wild Coyote is an expression of. The
Vintage is as rich, warm, woodsy and even spicy, as you
would expect embodying the elements that went into its creation,
these being the fruit of the earth, passion and even love.ä

Wine Review "VinExpo Tokyo Edition" |
|
"Both
Justin and Coyote Creek are relatively new wineries and
whilst the former impresses the image that is sleek and
classy, Coyote Creek is rustic and almost country-like.
They said Justin is busy dynamiting their way into caves
to build wine cellars and Coyote Creek will be moving to
a newly constructed winery in the near future, to accommodate
growing demand and to facilitate an influx of public tasters.
Indeed the trend is to upgrade, improve and expand."

Coyote
Creek was one of the stops for this small but very experienced
group of media & trade professionals during their one-week
of visiting selective California wineries. As always, it was
a pleasure to meet folks from other countries and get their
perspectives on our wines as a comparison to other regions/countries.
Our session ended with lots of pictures, of course, and purchasing
some of our wines for souvenirs, or maybe just drinking it
on the way back to the hotel.

Private
Wine Tasting/Parties
"Coyote Wines & Winemaker as your Host" |
|
|
Beginning
the end of last year in 2001, we hosted a few private parties
and wine tastings with great success. This idea began with
special focus business groups, private corporations (real
estate agencies, etc.), to private house parties. All with
one common theme; enhancing their events by having a vineyard
owner/winemaker join in with a few good wines for tasting
and vineyard/winery education. We hope to continue this exciting
event throughout 2003,
..so
if you are interested in the details,
please give us a call 805-239-4770.

Beverly Hills Farmers Market "First Ever" |
|
|
Coyote
Creek Vineyard was recently approved as "one-the-first"
winegrowers to participate in the California's Farmers Market
program. And we have chosen to start off with the Beverly
Hills market on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month, beginning
on September 16th. Future locations will be announced in the
near future.
Our efforts
began shortly after the ABC's (Department of Alcoholic Beverage
Control) announcement memorandum of 2/8/01 issued by the Interim
Director, Mr. Manual R. Espinoza. The section bill was originally
intended to generate sales and market exposure of wine from
small family-type operations. |

UC Davis Campus Visit |
|
|
I
made a personal
visit to UC-Davis for a hands-on session in their lab and
studied their winemaking techniques and equipment. To say
the least, I was very impressed with the campus and the technical
knowledge of their research staff. No wonder they are known
as one of the best Viticulture and Enology institutions in
the country. For those of you (novice or professional) winemakers
that haven't made the time to visit UC-Davis, I suggest it
very strongly. |

"As
new wines and winery owners come into the area, it is sometimes
hard to keep up with their stories and personalities. Iâd
like to take this opportunity to salute both the original
pioneers of the local wine industry, and acknowledge the continuing
and new efforts being extended to make this area such an exciting
wine region, and to share the story of how and why Coyote
Creek Vineyard and Manucci Winery has been established..." |
